ICT Programs

At Lindfield, technology is recognised as paramount in today's fast-changing world and students are introduced to ICT in a systematic process starting in Kindergarten.  As they progress through the school, they quickly develop a comprehensive skill set, from computing basics to being able to effectively utilise computer-based technologies to locate, access, evaluate, store and retrieve information.  Students are also encouraged to express and communicate their ideas with others using the latest web-sharing tools.

Using Microsoft Office software, students soon develop expertise in word processing, presentation, spreadsheet and publishing skills.   Upper primary students also have access to touch typing programs while mind-mapping software allows students to create graphic organisers to support creative and critical thinking.

Additionally, students are encouraged to expand the boundaries of their creativity beyond the classroom in a variety of multi-media formats, such as image manipulation, animations and 3D simulations, and short videos.
